Mother's Day

Looking to make mom feel extra special this year? We’ve got you covered.  An arrangement of our farm grown, heirloom blooms is sure to bring a smile to her face and yours. Tell mom how much she means to you with local flowers.

Heirloom Variety

We are proud to grow the same flowers that have graced the gardens of generations of women before us . These flowers are often too delicate to withstand the rigours of transport which is why you won’t find them in big box stores. Purchasing local flowers is not only keeping your money in your community and supporting the local economy, you are bringing a bit of nostalgia into your home. Exquisite flowers from a simpler time.

Sustainably Grown

We are passionate about the land on which we grow our flowers. No harmful chemicals are used and our flowerbeds are nourished with compost made right here on our farm. Our desire is to leave this farm in a better place than we found it.

She breathes in dirt and exhales flowers.

The Dirty Crew

Hi I’m Candice and I’m so glad you’re here. As a young girl I fell in love with ballet at an early age. I graduated high school and went on to train in theatre, then spent the next 15 years performing, teaching and choreographing across Canada. Somewhere along the way the desire to become a mom started to bloom and in 2012, after 18 tedious months I brought my daughter home from abroad.

Priorities have a way of shifting when we become parents and my desire to travel and perform literally evaporated with her arrival. What remained however was my need for creativity and from that place, Dirty Girl Flowers was born.

This farm allows me to do the two things I love best in this world; be a mom to my growing family, and to put beauty out there in the world. Introvert. Nurturer. Lover of earl Grey tea.

Hi I’m Diane. As a child I have many fond memories of working beside my Nana on her small farm in White Rock. We harvested vegetables together and I stood by and watched as she milked the cows.

My parents were also no strangers to the garden. Dad always grew our vegetables and I remember standing by him and popping sun warmed peas into my mouth while he worked. The smell of beet tops cooking still makes my mouth water. Mom was the flower grower, she and I weeded and planted and harvested together. I feel her with me whenever I catch a whiff of the glorious scent of sweet peas. Popping the snapdragon’s “mouth” open, the faces of pansies all bring happy thoughts to mind.

When life throws a curve ball I can always find peace in my garden. It is my happy place.
